Top things to do in Orlando

Orlando is an awesome city to visit in the United States, especially as a family with small kids as you have so many theme parks to choose from. However it’s not just all crazy rides and theme parks and this awesome place has so much to offer. So I’ve rounded some top activities to do for your next trip there.

Theme Parks

As I said Orlando has so many Theme Parks to chose from and you don’t just need to have small kids to visit them. Universal studios would have to be one of my favourites where you can re live classics like E.T and the Terminator. I always get  discounted Universal Studios Orlando tickets onlineLegoland is another favourite and is the largest in the world and is a great option for families with really young children. Aquatica is the best of a theme park, water park, aquarium and zoo all rolled into the one place, so if you are limited on time that is the place to go.

Take a kayak eco tour

If you want to escape the craziness of the theme parks but still feel like an adventure then take a kayak eco tour. Here you will kayak through Shingle creek and get to spot alligators, bald eagles and more.

Visit the royal botanical garden

This makes for the perfect picnic spot with it’s 50 acres of luscious gardens, which houses more the 1000 rose bushes and largest collection of Camellias in North America. The gardens also have a butterfly garden and a citrus grove. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon taking a lazy stroll or setting up a picnic to simple enjoy the scenery.

Pamper yourself with a spa treatment

If you don’t have kids or you can find a baby sitter then I highly suggest treating yourself to a spa treatment at one of the many world-class spas on offer in Orlando. The main three to try are the 24,000 square foot Waldrof Astoria Spa, the Ritz Carlton Spa and the Poseidon Spa. None of those options will disappoint and you will walk out feeling pampered, relaxed and a whole new person.
