Create a handbook

That’s why creating a handbook that they can refer to at any time is a good idea. Giving every member of staff a copy of it will make sure that there’s no excuses as to why they weren’t following the guidelines you’ve created. Your handbook should hold information on how to carry out tasks safely, passwords and passcodes to computers and locked rooms, how to safely clean equipment and machinery, and how to store large and dangerous pieces of equipment safely. Provide safety equipment
Safety equipment is important in many different industries, and you need to make sure your team has what they need to perform their roles safely. While they would be doing this at their own risk, they are still in the workplace which could turn into nasty legal proceedings if they do become harmed. Not only that, if you do notice someone not following safety protocols, you can pull them aside and remind them of the safety rules in place. Make sure everyone has up to date training
Finally, you can’t expect someone to do a job safely and correctly without the right training, and if your team doesn’t have it, you’re the one at fault. Make sure that everyone is trained to the latest standards with all pieces of equipment, machinery, chemicals and anything else that could be dangerous.
